Not sure if you believe in Ghosts, but anyway here goes........

My hubby and I just bought our house in October. It's over 120 years old. One night while hubby was out, I climbed into bed. My children were fast asleep.

Before I drifted off to sleep, I heard footsteps coming up my stairs that lead to the bedrooms. I was sure my husband had gotten home and was coming up to bed. I laid there and listened. The footsteps were quite clear, but my husband did not appear. I got out of bed thinking it must have been 1 of the children. I looked into the bedrooms, but they were fast asleep. So I ventured downstairs and noone was there.

I got back into bed thinking ......"hmmmmm......that's weird" but then I never thought anymore of it, and went to sleep.

I've heard these footeps again a few times, on the same stairs, and noone has been home.

Then one day while home with just the children, I heard a woman's voice call my name. Clear as Day. I figured someone must have come to visit and just walked into the house. So I went to see who it was......noone was there.

I was cooking dinner one night.........I was the only one in the kitchen and a light came on. This got me to thinking that maybe there was a ghost afterall. Althought my husband thinks I am insane beacuse he was never around when any of this happened.......

Until one night when we were turning in for the night. The lights were out and again I heard the footsteps. Hubby said " Savannah must be awake, I hear her walking around"

I immediately got up and heard the footsteps going down the stairs, but before I followed, I looked in the bedrooms, both children were fast asleep. I talked to hubby the next day about it and he still says it was my daughter, eventho the children were sleeping.

I think the real clencher for me was when my stereo in my computer room turned on by itself while I was answering some email.

Yes, you must think I am crazy ..... maybe I am....... but then again, you just never know.

Have you read the book, "Talking To Heaven?" It talks alot about the things you have mentioned here and gives advice on how to get the spirit to leave. GCJ

I've had similar experiences. While I have not been a great believer in Spirits, recently I've been convinced there are entities around us. Some people aren't sensitive to the spirits, but when they all but beat you over the head to make their presence known, one has to believe. In one of my homes which is rather old, I am very sure there is friendly entity. A contractor was there working and thought he saw someone pass through the living room. He called out but no one answered. It happened several times that day and he found no one each time he investigated, so he locked the doors thinking someone was playing a joke on him. He reported to me later he was sure my house was haunted.

Then later he and his girlfriend were in the house at night and both of them were so freaked out by something neither of them could clearly explain and they are hesitant to go in the house, now. I have to laugh because I was aware of a presence since I purchased the house a year ago. Funny thing, he doesn't bug me. I'm aware of the noises, I'm aware I am not alone and it's somehow comforting if not a protective feeling I have when I am there. On the weekends when I go to visit, I call out as i enter the house, "Honey, I'm home!!" and I chuckle.

If your entity isn't harming anything, just acknowledge its presence and live with it. It freaks your friends out, but it's better than any house alarm you could purchase!
